Did you know that exercise is considered a KEYSTONE habit? This means that once it is established, it cultivates health behavior change in other areas of peoples lives. Study after study shows that people who exercise the most, eat the least, and make the healthiest food choices.
But why and how does this happen? There are a few practical answers:
1) While we are exercising we aren't eating
2) Exercise is a natural appetite suppressant - blood flow is diverted to the working muscles and AWAY from the stomach
3) If we are investing time and energy into training it makes us think about what we are putting into our bodies the rest of the day
The challenge, however, is building this EXERCISE habit into our daily routine. This is very difficult to do on our own. BUT with a personal trainer - we simply book in our workouts each week, show up, and voila - it happens!
