We raised $12,002 dollars for the Cambridge Food Bank! What an incredible result. Thank you so much to everyone who donated online and in the clinic.

I have a few reflections from the fundraiser...

1) Listen to the voice of FAITH, not fear! I had a voice in my head that said "don't do it, it's not going to be the same this year, you waited too long to announce it no one will know or care at this point." But I IGNORED that voice and listened to the voice that said "Just do it! Set a BIG target - one that is a real challenge, start telling people and spreading the word, an act of compassion is an act of worship to God." I listened to the voice of FAITH! and this was our best year ever.

2) Generosity encourages more generosity. When people see someone give, it INSPIRES them to give, which inspires others to give.

3) We need to give back to the city we live in. When we give to help those in need in Cambridge, guess what happens to our city? It becomes a BETTER place to live, and guess what happens to people who are generous with others, they are themselves blessed. Generosity breaks the curse of greed in our lives - it helps us to focus on our brothers and sisters. It takes our eyes off of ourselves and onto the needs of others. To DO something to help them.

For all of you who contributed - THANK YOU. May you experience the love, joy, hope and peace of the Christmas season.

Merry Christmas!
