Eric received his Bachelor of Honours Kinesiology Degree (2007) from the University of Waterloo and his Master of Science Degree in Physiotherapy (2009) from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Before starting his own physiotherapy practice in Cambridge Ontario, he practiced physiotherapy at the world-renowned Canadian Back Institute. Eric also received advanced training from Dr. Stuart M. McGill, professor of spine biomechanics at the University of Waterloo. This training is incorporated into his current practice with the use of “McGill’s Techniques” for the treatment of low back disorders. In current practice, Eric continues to focus on performance-based Orthopaedic Sports Medicine with an emphasis on returning athletes to elite level competition and function. His clients see outstanding results from his progressive integration of strength training, conditioning work, and manual therapy.
Eric Wood-Salomon is the owner and head therapist of Rebuild Physiotherapy and Fitness. Starting the business in 2010, Eric began to implement a performance-based approach to physiotherapy. Success with this progressive treatment style only re-enforced his ideas about prescribing therapeutic exercise to enhance human movement and performance. Eric’s ability to combine a passion for exercise with his professional training as a physiotherapist creates a dynamic, exciting, and supportive environment for his patients. Eric is an encouragement to nearly everyone he meets, causing even those with chronic health conditions to re-examine their perceived physical capacity, and motivating newcomers to strive to reach their full potential.
